NAVTEQ Traffic in Istanbul
Nokia today announced that its Location & Commerce division is providing NAVTEQ Traffic services to Spectrum Medya for distribution via Radio Data System (RDS) across six major markets in Turkey including Istanbul, Ankara, Adana, and Izmir.
This agreement follows the introduction in Turkey at the end of 2011 of NAVTEQ Traffic Pro, a connected service delivered in XML format over an internet connection.
In Turkey, NAVTEQ Traffic offers information on the speed of travel, traffic incidents and other events impacting travel in 13 cities and on 15,000 kilometres of road network.
Hungary-based Trafficnav and Belgium-based Be-Mobile are NAVTEQ’s key competitors in Turkey. for real-time traffic.
